School cinema

The SCHOOL CINEMA provides a young audience with the opportunity to watch pedagogically valuable films from Central and Eastern Europe and invites them to participate afterwards in an open discussion with the filmmakers. Our programme will cover the gripping polish film PAPUSZA, which is based on the tragic story of a Roma writer but also the Romanian production ROXANNE, a realistically staged political drama dealing with friendship, betrayal and courage. The director of PAPUSZA Joanna Kos-Krauze and also Jowita Budnik, playing the main character, will be answering questions. Roxanne will be presented by its director Valentin Hotea.

The entrance fee for the LET’S CEE school cinema will be only EUR 5,- per person, for accompanying teachers it’s even free. Extensive teaching material will be provided free of charge.

Non-students are also welcome, as long as the event is not sold out.

Regular ticket pricing will apply in this case.
