Synopsis

The Mystery of Green Hill is based on a children’s book by popular Croatian author Ivan Kušan, who died in 2012. It is the fourth in a series of film adaptations about young detective Koko and his friends. Chronologically, this adventure is the first one Kušan wrote. Therein, the children, who are spending their holidays at a lake near the idyllic “Green Hill”, have to deal with burglars who break into houses and steal every valuable thing that they can find. Since the local police remain strangely idle despite several concrete clues, even from adults – Koko and his friends decide to take matters into their own hands. Čejen Černić had already authored other “Koko” films, and has now, as she said, with pleasure accepted the part of the director – with scriptwriter Hana Jušić by her side, a new team and new young protagonists, and a marvellous landscape as backdrop. As with the other films of the “Koko” series, this one too is an entertaining, interesting and doubtlessly very exciting film for children, but also for parents who haven’t yet forgotten about the adventures of their childhood.
