Synopsis

Mile, Fedr und Zekir live in a run-down block of houses in Ljubljana. Their life situations are anything but pleasant: The notoric know-it-all Mile lives as 40-year-old still with his mother, the alcoholic ex-skinhead Fedr just separated from his ex and the former punk Zekir suffers from his loneliness. Moreover, they are all unemployed, and occasional jobs on the side are the highest of feelings. When Fedr unexpectedly inherits a small business premise, the three friends sense an approaching opportunity and the chance for new beginnings. Without further ado, they open a pizza place. But since none of them has any clue as to how to lead a restaurant, the project threatens to fail as fast as it started in the first place. Only when the helpful homeless woman Jana has just about the most brilliant idea, the story seems to take a turn for the better: From now on, according to the plan, all customers get – in addition to their pizza – a piece of great happiness. Šiška Deluxe presents three eccentric weirdoes and their mad attempt to give their lives a positive outcome. Jan Cvitkovic’s wild game with old clichés ensures situational humour that – in combination with numerous amusing turns and events – is as suspenseful as it is refreshing. A light-hearted summer comedy where romantic is not missing.
