Synopsis

Of almost 500 submissions, the 11 best, which were chosen by the curators Arash and Arman T. Riahi,  will be shown in competition. A whole range of other outstanding works will also be screened – outside the competition and within different thematic sections – as was done in previous years of the Festival. What all the shorts have in common is the desire for a human, fair and happy existence not at all lacking in that one special thing... (All you need is) love. Come, watch, enjoy!

Passionpanther

 A love-starved female panther seduces a voluptuous jungle inhabitant. A sparkling animated love story that doesn’t necessarily offer a happy ending, but makes up for it with a great deal of humour.

Game of Senses

Director: Wojciech Warzywoda

 In this animated film, a man loses all his senses and has to painfully gather them back together in a game-show-like setting. A short, but entertaining pleasure for eyes and ears.

Meatball

 A salesman pays a visit to an old couple. While trying to sell his merchandise with all his virtue, he eats one of the homemade meatballs and soon realises that he better hadn’t done that. A deep, black comedy with superb acting.

Bright Black

 A painter is on the brink of financial ruin and highly addicted to alcohol. However, he draws new hope from a dream of loads of money. But the treasure he was looking for is not exactly what he had expected. Captivating, moving and told with a profound sense of humour.
