Synopsis

A girl talks about the execution of a married couple. Her tone remains casual. “Playing Ceausescu” is common among the children of Cluj in 1990. Three of them enact the execution of the dictator and his wife in the school yard. This child’s play holds a healing potential. It has the power to perceive, remodel, interpret, question and maybe even understand the world, making it the foundation for the development of character and personality. The conversion of an execution into a game indicates the potential processing of traumas. But only one year after Ceausescu’s downfall is not the time for healing - all that remains in the end is the violence.
