Synopsis

Four friends commit an armed robbery. All they want to do is storm a clandestine casino in London, grab all the money and run off to Malaysia to finally entertain themselves with cheap alcohol and even cheaper sex on the sunny beaches. But as brilliantly as they think their idea is planned out, things do not go as smoothly as they had hoped. Although they manage to steal a million pounds, the madmen they robbed the money from will not let them escape so easily. Anyway, somehow the four of the them make it onto the plane, but as soon as they are up in the sky, they already have to make a forced landing because of Iceland’s volcano starting to expel loads of ashes, paralysing the entire air traffic above Northern Europe. Instead of on a tropic island, they find themselves in a post-soviet country with an unpronounceable name ... in Lithuania – where they have to deal with smugglers, killers, prostitutes, corrupt cops, wild phantasies, with a tremendous cultural shock and, moreover, they are forced to redefine their old friendship.

With Redirected, Emilis Velyvis succeeded in creating a real blockbuster in his home country. The mixture of action movie, crime thriller and comedy in the style of Guy Ritchie promises pure entertainment that is due to explicit scenes and quite rude language only advised for viewers from age 16 onwards.
