Synopsis

Pavel is in his early thirties and a successful banker, when suddenly an accident on the golf course changes his life. He falls into a coma and loses a big part of his memory. What is more, he thinks he is a teenager again, and the last he can remember after he wakes from the coma are his old friends and a barbecue long bygone. So after thirteen years, he returns to his home town. Of course, the reunion with his once so joyful old companions turns out to be more difficult than Pavel had thought. While he is full of energy and drive, his old mates are stuck in their daily routines. However, with his newly found easygoing attitude, the protagonist quickly manages to turn his friends' bourgeois lives upside down and make long forgotten dreams come true. Living Legends is a colourful, fast-paced comedy on universal subjects like friendship, love and responsibility. Producer and leading actor Niki Iliev has created an entertaining and authentic portrait of his generation, striking a chord with the Bulgarian audience: the feature has become a great box-office hit in Romania, not least due to its cast of national stars and a captivating soundtrack.
