Synopsis

A modern, manifold metropolis. Newly rich parents and their no less hedonistic children live in their own world, while anger and tension outside their little, comfortable bubble seem close to exploding. The young man Marcin comes to the city where he meets Ola, who seems to be fascinated by him and, thus, immediately introduces him to her superficial microcosm consisting of drug use, endless partying and illegal car racing. Neither she nor her parents can even begin to imagine what murderous thoughts Marcin is actually hiding from them in his well kept secret. Unfortunately for him, his developing feelings for his new girlfriend threatens to ruin his dark plans...

Hardkor Disko is the debut feature film of Krzysztof Skonieczny, the author and director of a series of iconic, award-winning music videos – which definitely had a big influence on his first film: For the music, varying from classic disco sound of the 1970s to modern hip hop, ambient music and electro punk, without a doubt, plays a main role, which is equal to the marvelously talented actors. This movie is the nihilistic version of an ancient Greek tragedy in three acts and stunningly beautiful pictures. It is about the desperate search for identity, fault, revenge and punishment as well as impossible love.
