Synopsis

Anna and Nick travel to the Swiss Romandy to take a break from everyday life in Vienna: he wants to collect recipes from the local kitchen and she wants to write a new book. Moreover, their relationship would benefit from a hiatus because Anna is convinced that Nick has had an affair with their neighbour Andrea. In the meantime, attractive Mischa is supposed to look after their apartment in Vienna. Anna thinks that Mischa looks a lot like Andrea and she also recognises Andrea in an ice cream shop in faraway Lausanne. In addition, mysterious things start happening in the summer residence, which apparently only Anna is capable of perceiving. Are the strange events connected to the sheep that Anna and Nick hit with their car on their way to their holiday home? Did that even happen in the first place? Why does Anna think that it’s their first day on vacation while Nick believes that they already been there for the past twelve days? Is it all just a figment of Anna’s imagination? What about the talking cat and the bird inside the house? Is it just a dream? If so, who is the dreamer? And who is weaving this web of mystery? Polish director Greg Zglinski, who currently resides in Switzerland, has brought the late Jörg Kalt’s screenplay to life with star cast against a picturesque backdrop.
